Bioenergy
Bioenergy is a form of energy which is obtained from forests, swamps and fields growing biomass and organic agricultural and industrial waste. It forms 80% of renewable energy sources in Finland and covers about a quarter of Finland's total energy consumption. Biomass is the fourth most important energy source and 14% of the world's energy is obtained from biomass.
The use of bioenergy is the most common in developing countries and one third of their energy is obtained by burning wood and manure. The use of biofuels is intented to be increased in the future becouse bioenergy
doesn't produce carbon dioxide. Biofuels can be firm or liquid biomass, like bioethanol, biodiesel and biogas. Biomass includes wood, fertilizers, straws, logging residues and other organic solid wastes.

The reduction in fossil fuel production over the next 50 years would allow bio-growing to be the world leader in the energy sector. Biogas is generated in anaerobic conditions from organic products as they rot. It consists mainly of methane. Suitable waste is generated for instance in waste water treatment plants,
landfills and farmhouses. Organic household waste is good for biogas raw materials. In contrast to composting in aerobic conditions, there is no biogas generation.

We wanted to know if people were interested in the subject of bioenergy and their knowledge about it...
Here are the questions we asked:
1.Bioenergy is:
a) Nonrenewable source of energy
b) Renewable source of energy
c) Something else
2.Where do you get bioenergy?
a) From plastic
b) From animal manure
c) From wood
d) From water
3.Opinion on bioenergy (this question is a matter of opinion), 1 is "bad" and 5 is "excellent"
a) Bad
b) Moderate
c) Not interested
d) Good
e) Excellent
4.Opinion on the ingreasing use of bioenergy in the future?
a) Bad
b) Moderate
c) Not interested
d) Good
e) Excellent
5.Is bioenergy environmentally friendly?
a) I completely disagree
b) I disasgree
c) I don't know
d) I agree
e) I completely agree
6.If the use of bioenergy would be completely discontinued, how would it affect the world's energy production?
If the use of bioenergy was terminated completely, how would it affect on the world's energy production?
Interviewees are of the opinion that the use of nonrenewable energy sources would get more common and it would overload the planet.
